Swiss wine distributor Nüesch Weine, known for its focus on high-quality wines, places great emphasis on harmony and sustainability when selecting Spanish wines for the Swiss market. According to Elisabeth Carrara, company representative, Spanish wines that succeed in Switzerland must offer "a balance between fruity flavours, a medium to full body, finely integrated tannins, and acidity in harmony with the tannins, along with a moderate alcohol content."

With extensive knowledge of the wine industry, Carrara is well acquainted with some of Spain's most prestigious wine regions, including Ribera del Duero, Priorat, Rioja, Rías Baixas, Catalonia, and Navarra. These appellations have consistently proven their ability to produce wines that meet the high standards demanded by the Swiss market.

Beyond quality and organoleptic characteristics, Carrara also highlights the importance of storytelling and sustainability when selecting wineries and wines. "This plays a major role for Nüesch Weine and for me. After all, we are only here on this earth for a short time and we should take responsibility for our actions so that the next generations will still have a 'healthy' world to live in. However, enjoyment should always take centre stage", she states.

FENAVIN: A Key Platform for Connecting Buyers with Spanish Wineries

In this context, Carrara emphasizes FENAVIN's role as a key platform for international buyers to connect with Spanish wineries. "For me, it's a great thing that reflects the different growing regions of Spain and their wineries. I'm very excited about FENAVIN and am looking forward to capturing the different impressions...".

FENAVIN continues to establish itself as a must-attend event for importers and distributors worldwide, reinforcing its commitment to promoting Spanish wine on the international stage.
